Ribbon Electric's journey began two decades ago with the establishment of EDI Electric by Stephen Ewaskiw, the President and Founder, who started the company in his garage in Sherwood Park. In those early days, a strong emphasis on customer care was evident, a tradition that continues to be upheld today. Clients often extend invitations for visits following service calls, a testament to the personalized service that characterizes Ribbon Electric's approach. The company's dedication to its customers has only grown deeper over time.
Today, with a team of 15 staff members, Ribbon Electric remains steadfast in its commitment to exceptional customer service. The company values the relationships it cultivates, prioritizing listening attentively to customer needs and offering insights that extend beyond basic electrical solutions. Collaboration spans various sectors, including residential and commercial projects, involving homeowners, property managers, business owners, and general contractors. With two decades of experience, Ribbon Electric has honed its reputation as skilled electricians known for their effective communication and problem-solving abilities. Raised on a farm north of Mundare, I developed a robust work ethic rooted in the value of diligence and hands-on tasks. A pivotal moment came during a summer construction role, where I contributed to building a garage from inception to completion, sparking my passion for practical work and witnessing tangible progress. My interest in the electrical trade was further ignited while observing maintenance electricians at the AGLC warehouse in St. Albert.
Formally commencing with my apprenticeship at the IPL Tank Farm with JV Driver marked the official start of my journey. Here, I immersed myself in mastering the technical facets of the trade, continuously refining my skills and accruing invaluable experience. Throughout my apprenticeship, I eagerly engaged in diverse electrical projects, ranging from wiring sheds to basement installations.
Progressing through roles at various electrical firms ultimately culminated in the establishment of Ribbon Electric. Founded in February 2021 and headquartered in the Overhead Door’s facility, our company epitomizes unwavering dedication to excellence and steadfast core values. Today, we proudly operate with a team comprising three dedicated office professionals and twelve skilled field technicians.
